A.I. Artificial Intelligence

A.I. is a 2001 movie based from Brian Aldiss' book Super Toys Last All Summer Long, this film was first being developed by director Stanley Kubrick in the early 70's and was later passed on to his friend Steven Spielberg after his death.

The story is about an almost human-like robot prototype boy David who was programmed to love his master until his master became afraid of him when there was rivalry between David and their son.

David remembered the story of Pinocchio when Pinocchio became a boy by the Blue Fairy. He also wants to be a real boy so that he would be accepted and loved by her Mother. He really wants to become a real live boy so he dug up some information about the Blue Fairy and found out that Blue Fairy wasn't real but he found a statue in Manhattan which is underwater and waited for 2000 years.

Human race was gone and other life forms roamed the earth for it's history and found David on that same spot. He was given a chance to see his mother again and he felt like a real boy when he also felt the love of his mother.

I'm surprise by the movie's ending because I just felt sad. I thought that the story would have a happy ending like in the fairytale Pinocchio. It just showed me that humans can create something like David who can feel and love like the real thing.
